One of the articles of the Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Association’s Charter provides "The goal of Hamazkayin is to preserve, develop and promote the Armenian culture to ensure the survival of Armenia and the entire Armenian nation."
Hamazkayin's Ani dance ensemble once again became the performer of this mission when it received an invitation from the sport organization of Brazil called "Armenian Youth Fedayeen Football Club" .
It is an organization whose members are mostly foreigners, and their team is the country's first class team. This organization, besides sports life, also has a cultural department. Every Sunday afternoon, they have an hour-long program in Portuguese and Armenian, during which they discuss cultural matters. The program is followed by the broadcast of Armenian songs and music.
Sargis Gharamigian junior is the president of the above-mentioned organization. He has learnt about the activities of the Ani dance ensemble through Facebook and has tried to invite the ensemble to Brazil for years. Finally, on June 11, 2018, the Ani dance ensemble, with its 25 members, headed by their choreographers Suzy Parseghian-Tarpinian and Yeghia Hasholyan, arrived in Brazil and got a very warm welcome.
The first performance of the ensemble took place in the coastal city of Santos, the second in São Paulo’s Camaro Hall, and the third one in Mairiporã, one of the suburbs of São Paulo.
