The Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society published Natalia Tadeosean’s Memoirs (1908-1990) "The Crater".
It represents a small, but an exceptional part of our history; the two revolutions of 1917, the civil war, the establishment of Independent Armenia, the establishment of Soviet power in Armenia, and the Erivan rebellion ...
Children’s reminiscences and feelings transmit special vivacity, color and frankness to that history, its episodes, details and fragments.
Some historic characters appear here with live straightforwardness, intertwined with the stormy events of the time. The reader automatically becomes a witness to history emotionally bound to that period.
The Hamazkayin Armenian Cultural and Educational Society followed a very important principle publishing the memoirs on the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide. "The Crater" is not a shred of human life but the dense echo of the most controversial period in our history. It was a period, which has left a scar in the fate of every Armenian.
Lilit Galstyan has edited the book, Ashot Gabrielyan translated and Zareh Shirvanian designed it.
